The Warsaw Mozart Festival began in 1991, commemorating 200 years from Mozart’s death and has run every year since then. This is the world biggest event of this kind, the Warsaw Chamber Opera being the only orchestra (company) in the world to have Mozart’s entire operatic output in its permanent repertoire.
Warsaw Mozart Festival will took place this year on 15 June – 26 July 2010, this being the 20th Mozart Festival.
Remember that The Warsaw Chamber Opera was founded in 1961 by Stefan Sutkowski, who has served as its Managing and Artistic Director ever since.
